Great Decisions is a program that promotes citizen awareness and discussion about timely foreign policy issues. It is run by the Foreign Policy Association in  New York. Each year eight topics are chosen by a panel and in-depth articles on each subject are prepared by experts. The articles go into the 100-page softbound Great Decisions briefing book that appears with new content every January. Great Decisions is the oldest and largest grassroots educational program on world affairs of its kind in the country, with about 350,000 overall participants.

Council members and guests get together regularly for dinner and discussion with a special guest speaker.  Join us for lively conversation as we enjoy international cuisine in our community!

As a member of the World Affairs Council you have the great opportunity to go on trips organized by the councils. These trips offer all the highlights of touring. You will also look behind the scenes and be part of special briefings held by political leaders and local experts.
