Who Can Play?
Any high school in Mecklenburg or the surrounding counties is welcome to compete! Teams consists of eight high school students from the same school. This event is open to the teams of high school students and their accompanying teachers or chaperones.

How is Academic WorldQuest Played?


There will be eight rounds in Academic WorldQuest 2009.

Each round will consist of 10 questions; 30 seconds for each question.

Each team will be provided with an answer sheet that must be turned in at the end of each round.

Only correct answers will be considered for the final tally.

In the event of a tie, a sudden-death round will be played

 
Registration Info

Complete the registration form and e-mail or fax (704-687-4372) it to the World Affairs Council of Charlotte. Due: Friday, October 23rd, 2009

We will send you a brief study guide and more detailed Team Registration Forms for you to provide us with team member's names. Only 20 teams can register so if space is full, you will be notified and placed on a waiting list.

 

How Can Teams Prepare?

Teams compete in 8-separate rounds with different categories. The Council will provide a brief preparation guide to teams once they have registered. This guide will explain the content of each round and provide suggested websites and resources to help teams prepare for the competition.
